La prima volta che ho preso in considerazione di comprare una macchina fotografica è stato nel 1991 a 16 anni. 

La voglia mi venne dopo una serie infinita di telefonate circa la disponibilità ed i costi di alcuni obiettivi Tamron, che il mio amico Piero R. (più grande di me di 14 anni) mi faceva fare ad un, allora per me sconosciuto, negozio di Via di Porta Cavalleggeri a Roma.

 

Qualche mese più tardi mio padre mi regalò una Zenith con grandangolo, filtri e zoom, comprata al mercato che i primi polacchi arrivati in città improvvisavano sotto ai ponti.

Mi sono laureato al Dams di Bologna indirizzo Cinema e Teatro, e grazie ai film di Renoir, Visconti, Murnau, Antonioni, Truffaut, Ford, Carnè e Rossellini ho capito cosa sia un'inquadratura, come tentare a racchiudere all'interno di un rettangolo un'idea che parli del mondo e dell'arte allo stesso tempo. 

 

Da più di 10 anni collaboro come fotoreporter professionista con numerose Agenzie di settore, specialmente straniere.

The first time I bought a camera was in 1991 at age 16.

The urge came after an infinite number of phone calls about the availability and cost of some Tamron lenses that my friend Piero R. (10 years older than me) did to me at, then unknown to me, Via di  Porta Cavalleggeri's Store in Rome.

 

A few months later my father gave me a  Zenith camera with wide-angle, filters and zoom, bought at the market that the first Polish who were starting to come to town suddenly swept under the bridges.

 

I graduated at the Dams of Bologna (Cinema and Theatre), and thanks to the films of Renoir, Visconti, Murnau, Antonioni, Truffaut, Ford, Carnè and Rossellini I understand what is a shot, like to try to enclose within a rectangle an idea of ​​world and art.

 

For more than 10 years I have been working as a professional photojournalist with numerous industry Agencies, especially foreign.
